Although this is kind of \u2018Week 1\u2019 of the Write-a-thon for me, I did work on the novel during that first week before I\u2019d signed up; those days just weren\u2019t officially part of the six-week quest. I\u2019ve also clicked on the \u2018I wrote today\u2019 button too late in the evening several times, so my counter of \u2018days written\u2019 is already off (but I suppose it\u2019s the spirit of it that counts!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The official accomplishment this week is completing one chapter. It feels fairly significant\u2014and is something of a relief\u2014since it was a chapter I\u2019ve been stuck on for ages (due to wrestling with how to incorporate some of the old material I want to use with the new stuff I\u2019m drafting, and figuring out the best way to make the pieces fit together).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second excerpt I\u2019ve added to my Write-a-thon page is from this new chapter.
